Nutrition is an often misrepresented and misunderstood piece of pregnancy. The inclusion of registered dieticians was critical for this sub-theme, because they are well educated and trained to dispel the common myths associated with nutrition in pregnancy. For example, pregnant women don’t need to increase their intake of food because they are not eating for two, but they do need to be nourishing their body for two. Exercise is also often misunderstood and difficult for many in pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, but it can be extremely helpful in battling morning sickness and preparing the body for birth.
