Partner support and relationships are essential in the postpartum period. The transition to parenthood is often difficult for both the mother who gave birth and for the partner involved in the process. Finding ways to reconnect and be on the same team is incredibly important in having a high-quality relationship. Being understanding and supportive of each other’s experiences and feelings is also extremely important in this transition to parenthood. Having a partner that is educated and knows what warning signs and symptoms to look out for can be empowering for them and help parents catch problematic things early on.
